Every mandolin starts with picking the right wood. I hand select high quality well seasoned wood for each mandolin. I can make beautiful traditional instruments or can customized to your specifications.
For tonewoods I use Adirondack and Sitka. The back and sides are made from Curly Maple and Cherry. The neck is constructed of hard Curly Maple.
Tone bars are tuned using a strobe tuner set at certain frequencies giving the instrument an excellent woody sound.
Air chambers are voiced to the most amplitude and clarity to have a very responsive and balanced instrument.
Each instrument is custom made. Make each decision in the design and construction of your custom mandolin. Get a custom sound designed for you, by you.
